Education

Ever since I was the director of public relations for the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, I have enjoyed plumbing the passions of alumni, college students and their professors. Whether I’m writing about science, liberal arts or business, it’s a heady mix: accomplished graduates; bright, zealous students grappling with who they really are and what they really want to do; and professors fully invested in their fields of expertise.

Fracking, the Big Bang theory, urban education, autism, brain-machine interfaces, obesity, the global economy, art censorship and the art of the memoir—universities are petri dishes for exploring some of today’s most compelling issues and topics.

For education clients I produce alumni, development and admissions materials, including:

Temple University

I write nearly all the copy and provide editing and project management services for the following:

  • the College of Education’s magazine, Educator (PDF), and its newsletter, the EdBulletin (PDF)

  • the College of Science and Technology’s Outlook magazine (PDF) and Touchpoint newsletter
  • the Office of International Affairs’ publications, including profiles of international students and the writing and editing of International Insight, OIA’s annual newsletter.
